Kai Tsujimura Wood Fired Vase
Incredible wood fire vase made by Kai Tsujimura, the son of the famous potter, Shiro Tsujimura. In 2000, he became independent in Sakurai, Nara Prefecture. Thoroughly trained by his father, famous pottery Shiro Tsujimura, Kai embarked on his career in 2001 when he built his own kiln in the hills of Nara. He faces ceramics in nature and creates a variety of works with his unique sensibility in the style of Iga, Shigaraki, Kohiki, Ido, Shino, and Hikidashiguro. In 2010, Tsujimura’s large jar joined the Minneapolis Institute of Art’s permanent collection.
Comes with signed box, excellent condition.
