Excellent weed vase by accomplished potter, Elmer Taylor. Beautiful dark midnight blue glaze with embossed cypher. 

4” x 4” 

Elmer Taylor graduated from Arizona State University and moved to England to apprentice with Michael Leach, Bernard’s son. Taylor taught at Mercer State in Georgia. Later he was hired by the University of North Texas, where he taught ceramics for over 40 years. He was a well known pottery maker who conducted workshops throughout the U.S.

Taylor was known for his unique style of pottery and his skill at brush decoration. Taylor passed away in 2016.
