Born in 1934, He learned pottery in Tokoname and Kyoto as a follower of Sakuzo Hineno who accomplished great achievement for Japanese pottery design and started his kiln in 1956.

He received many awards such as the Niho Tougei exhibition and Asahi Togei exhibition . In 1965, the emperor loved his works and bought a large vase with beautiful comb-scratch..

His kiln has been closed since 2008 .
