Beyond his classical ceramic training under esteemed masters and National Treasures, including Tomimoto Kenkichi (1886-1963) and Fujimoto Yoshimichi Nōdō (1919-1992), Morino’s experiences as a teacher in the art department of the University of Chicago further enriched his artistic vision. His work has graced hundreds of exhibitions across Japan, Europe, the United States, and Australia, captivating the attention of collectors worldwide. Morino’s functional ceramics are meticulously hand-built and double-glazed, featuring subdued color combinations of red, green, black, blue, white, and silver glazes.
