Killer studio abstract bud vase by noted California potter, Sandra Johnstone c1960s. An uncommon form by Johnstone.
Johnstone (1936-1991) studied with Peter Voulkos at UC Berkeley in the 1950s. In addition Johnstone also studied with Paul Soldner. She eventually went on to build her own salt kiln in the early 80s.
